Основната цел на проекта е да се експонира и развие културно-историческата забележителност - разкритата част от Античния град Августа Траяна в центъра на Стара Загора, като едновременно се превърне в атрактивна туристическа дестинация, предлагаща по-висококачествен и разнообразен туристически продукт и по-равномерно разпределение на ползите от туризма не само в региона, но и в цялата страна.
