Проектът предвижда провеждането на планирани индустриални научни изследвания на процеса на реформиране /превръщане/ на бензин до водородно гориво, подтвърждаване на резултатите от проведените до момента лабораторни изследвания, и придобиване на нови знания за протичането на процеса в реални условия, с цел съществено подобряване на процеса и постигане на пълно превръщане на бензина до водород.
