The project envisages the implementation of aquaculture production methods in the fish farming enterprise "Karp BG", located in the water area of the "Studen Kladenets" dam, compatible with the specific needs of the environment and subject to specific requirements for the management of protected territories and protected areas of the "NATURA 2000" network and, as a result of their implementation, obtaining compensation for the additional costs and/or foregone benefits providing environmental services for serious damage caused by predators in aquaculture production farms. Through the implementation of the project, the habitats of a number of protected species will be preserved, including those included in the Red Book of Bulgaria and in the list of endangered species - Appendix No. 3 of the Biological Diversity Act, including Grey Heron, Little Cormorant, Dalmatian Pelican, etc.
The territory of the fish farm falls within the "Studen Kladenets" protected area BG0002013.

Няма да се премахва крайбрежната растителност, която благоприятства условията за живот и хранене на птиците. Ще се противодейства на противозаконни дейности от страна на нарушители, водещи до нарушаване на естествената среда и зони на обитание на защитените птици, чрез съществуващата охрана.
